As has been announced, the Cyprus Tax Returns system is now up and running, ready to accept tax returns for the tax year 2025, as we discovered when a member of our team put it to the test.
You have to access the system via Taxisnet: https://taxisnet.mof.gov.cy/login.jsp. You must then enter your name and PIN (password). This takes you to the INITIAL USER PAGE (see the attached picture). If you are happy with all your existing details, you can click on the SUBMIT/VIEW RETURNS option, then click on the 2025 return (at the top of the list) which will take you to the whole form to fill in.

There are numerous potential pitfalls, as there has always been and there are many error reports that will show before you can submit the completed form. It is easy to miss a box you must tick, or to enter decimal places where unnecessary – or vice versa. Nevertheless, it is very satisfying once the form is completed and submitted.
We would suggest that you print out or save as a pdf the completed form before final submission, so you have a record for your reference, which may be useful for next year’s return.
Incidentally, should you realise that you have made a mistake or missed an item from your income, you are able to recover the file and correct it.
The deadline for submission of the final 2025 Individual Income Tax Return and payment of any related tax due has been extended recently to: 31 October 2026.
You should note that regarding the 2026 Tax Self-Assessment, the first provisional tax declaration and payment deadline is: 31 July 2026.
