Most of our followers will have received packages containing an assortment of small tap fittings. These are designed to help reduce water consumption. Unfortunately for many, the description and fitting instructions are only in Greek.
Below is a translation of the leaflet to aid any of you who intend to use these fittings:
By installing accessories (nozzles) on taps, sinks, baths and showers, water can be saved up to 30%. They are easily installed in existing installations and have low cost.
Faucet nozzles
They are water-saving devices that are installed on taps. Their main function is to shape the water flow by mixing air. That is, they add air bubbles, turning the water into fine droplets, while at the same time increasing its speed, giving the impression of a stronger flow through the tap. They can limit the maximum amount of water to 5 litres/minute,
Shower/bathroom nozzles
They are water-saving devices that are inserted into the connection between the water supply line and the shower head. They are small perforated discs, made of brass, stainless steel or hard plastic, which are placed in the flow of the phone. They can limit the maximum amount of water to 8 litres/minute.

Materials you will need:
- New nozzle (suitable for tap or shower)
- Towel or cloth (to protect the surface)
- Pliers or wrench (if needed)
- Optional: small brush for cleaning limescale and vinegar.
Installing on a faucet:
- Step 1: Removing the old nozzle. Grasp the faucet spout with your hand. If it does not unscrew easily, use pliers wrapped in a cloth to avoid scratching it.
- Step 2: Cleaning the threads. Remove any limescale or dirt with the small brush or a little vinegar.
- Step 3: Installing a new nozzle. Remove the old sealing rubber and the dirt filter. Install the new nozzle together with the new sealing rubber. Screw the new nozzle onto the tap by hand until it stops
- Step 4: Check the function Turn on the tap.
- If there are leaks, tighten a little more.
Installing on a shower head
- Step 1: Unscrew the old shower head or hose. If it has limescale, pliers may be needed.
- Step 2: Installing the nozzle. Place the new nozzle between the tap and the hose. Alternatively, you can place the new nozzle between the hose and the shower head
- Step 3: Check the flow. Turn on the water and make sure that the flow is smooth and without leaks.
