The Maroni Community Council has recently posted details about a meeting to be held to inform people, including residents of the communities, on the proposed local government reform.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 5th March 2024 at 7:30pm in the Skarinou Community Council office. Anyone who wishes to be informed about the changes can attend the meeting. The changes are due to come into effect on 1st June 2024.
Local Government elections, as well as European Parliament elections, will be held on Sunday 9th June 2024. Eligibility to vote in local elections is limited the Cypriot and EU nationals over the age of 18 who are resident in Cyprus.
