Many of you will have read about the new tax portal, but remain unsure as to how this will affect the filing of your tax return for income for the year 2022. Brian Lait has kindly provide the folowwing insight:
Although this new website has been launched it would appear to only deal with VAT at the moment.
Accordingly, as I understand the situation at present, personal tax returns for the year 2022 will need to be filed through the TAXISnet website. This will change at some time in the future, however, so I suggest regular checking to see if anything has changed.
I believe the deadline for filing a 2022 personal tax return is presently on July 31, 2023, but the portal to do that is not yet open on TAXISnet. Regular checks should be made to find out when a return can be filed and submitted.
