In case you are wondering what has happened to the Maroni Art Group – we are now happy to be able to report that we are still very much in existence!

IHowever, you will appreciate that during the lockdown restrictions we were unable to meet in person as in the past, but at least we could continue with our various projects on-line.  Now …. and after what has sometimes seemed like an eternity ….  we are at last able to resume our regular Tuesday morning meetings where we can get together and exchange ideas and continue with our own paintings….. not mentioning of course, the added bonus of coffee and Fiona’s delicious cakes!

This week, and with Easter celebrations in mind, we had a departure from our usual painting and drawing and enjoyed a very relaxing and fun morning painting Easter decorations ….. as you can see from the photos of the lively, colourful Ceramic Rabbits and Easter eggs!  This was followed by a delicious Group Lunch at Piazza Maroni – thank you Spyros and Maria.

We meet every Tuesday from 9:30 at the Piazza Maroni (the square behind the old Village Office). New members are always welcome.

From now on we return to our usual art projects although we are hoping to arrange another Workshop in the Summer in addition to producing an Art Group Calendar for 2023.  Incidentally, the Maroni Art Group is now in its 16th year having started as a small group by Sue and Rosemary on the 14th February 2006 ….. where have those years gone?! Happy and Peaceful Easter everyone ….. Kalo Paska
