The Maroni Village Office has announced that they will be closed from 9:00 am on Saturday 26th February 2022 because of the protest taking place on the highway.
The organisers of the protest have issued further information on the planned protest, a translation in English follows. As the protest is intended to cause disruption to traffic on the highway, the area is best avoided by those residents not taking part.
