Village Easter Information

Dear Village,
As we approach Easter we realise that this year is different.
With functions behind closed doors we will live the epitaph and resurrection from our screens, we will celebrate Easter by staying home because we all have a common goal…. to get through this unprecedented situation.

We stay home to celebrate, so next year Easter all together, as provided for by our tradition and religion.

Some have asked us to ensure that the holy light is shared in our community but we have ruled it out both for security reasons and because we must follow the government orders!

This year’s Easter will still be a special time! Let’s all go out at the time of resurrection on the balcony with our candle lit and shout from afar “Christ is risen” to our neighbours in the hope that we will make it!

Happy resurrection to all with health and safety!
