At the time of writing there is still a great deal of confusion surrounding how British expatriates living in Cyprus will be affected by Brexit (the UK departure from the EU).
Opinion – and opinion is all that we can go on at the moment – swings between extremes on most subjects. Will UK driving licences be valid in Cyprus? How will healthcare rights in the UK be affected? What effect will there be on payments for GeSY? Will pensioners continue to receive annual upratings?
At maroni.life we are aware of our followers’ concerns, but we are waiting until the situation has been resolved before we publish anything purporting to be ‘facts’. We hope that we will be able to post information soon and meanwhile encourage followers to ensure that they comply with all the requirements for applying for MEU1/MEU3, to register for GeSY and to ensure that, where appropriate, they have an S1 from the UK government and the certificate of registration of such with the Ministry of Health.
