The village committee is in the process of arranging for a speed bump to be installed on the coast road bend near Koulas fruit shop to make the exit road from the lemonokipos to the coast road safer. It is the law that street lighting must be placed near any speed bumps. An application has been made and accepted to install street lights with the cost to be paid for by the village.
A road from Kollonas area to the coast road will soon be surfaced by the village with asphalt.
On the 3rd November Maroni village will celebrate the paniyeri of St George. This year then event will include a street food festival. More information will be available nearer the date.
