Zygi village is to celebrate with a Fish Festival on Saturday 31st August, from 5pm until late. The event will be held in the area around the Zygi Marina. You can sample fish dishes, or take a boat ride, and much more.
Various kiosks will feature demonstrations of fishermen’s activities, such as net sewing, long-lining, bait, sardine processing, fish filleting, as well as an exhibition of tools used by fishermen. There will also be a booth staffed by Fisheries Officers to provide information on non-edible and poisonous fish.
The Aegean Sea Music Group will enrich the event with music and singing while dance groups will perform Cypriot and island dances.
