Over the Orthodox Easter period banks will be closed on the following dates in addition to the usual Saturday and Sunday closing: Good Friday, April 26; Easter Monday, April 29; Easter Tuesday, April 30; May Day, Wednesday May 1.
Shop opening hours are also regulated: Good Friday and Easter Saturday general shops can remain open until 6 pm. They must close on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. They must also close on May Day.
Maria’s supermarket in Maroni village will be closed on Easter Sunday and Monday and will open until 1pm on both Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1.
