Orthodox Easter will be celebrated in Maroni next week and the Easter bonfire will take place in St Georges square on Easter Saturday night.
If everything goes well the Easter Monday games will take place in the youth club square at 5.00pm.
Maroni beach will officially open for the summer season on the weekend of the 4th / 5th May.
The road down towards Chirokitia that has been left in a terrible situation after recent road works should be re surfaced next week, if this fails to happen the local municipalities plan to close the road with demonstrations.
